Fresh Lovely Café is owned by June’s facilitator, Serina Leedy.
Inspired by her mother’s apron and trained at Le Cordon Bleu culinary school, Serina Leedy is the Owner and Chef of Fresh Love, a neighborhood cafe and market. Growing up on a ranch, Serina learned the value of hard work early in life. From shoveling manure to hunting mushrooms in the back 40, Serina has the lived experience of thinking of our food systems from the ground up. With that lens, Serina brings years of experience cooking in restaurant kitchens (including the opportunity to cook at the James Beard House in Manhattan), almost 20 years as a personal chef to Portland’s creme de la creme, and a 6-year sidetrack into the world of Real Estate. In 2022, Serina and her husband opened Fresh Love. This labor of love was a dream and more hard work than either could have imagined. Now approaching 3 years in business, Fresh Love is a profitable cafe, with an eye for making the business more efficient, considering how to make a second location to spread the love, and make all the operations run at their best. Fresh Love's mission is to create a welcoming space for the neighborhood, with good, healthy, high-quality food sourced primarily from local bakers, farmers, coffee roasters, and makers.
